Frequently Asked Questions

How do I send my loved ones ashes/hair or breastmilk to you?

We only need a small amount of ashes/hair (teaspoon). Please do not send all of the ashes/hair, we suggest you safeguard the rest in the very unlikely event the package should go astray.

We only need a small amount of breast milk, approx 15ml and this needs to be in a fully sealed container.

We recommend that you send your inclusions to us via recorded delivery, that way you can track your parcel should you need to.

All inclusions are treated with respect and dignity, and will be kept sealed until ready to use. Breastmilk will be preserved on the day it arrives with us.

Please post the ashes/hair or breast milk to Keepsake Memorial Jewellery, 287 Holcombe Road, Rossendale, Lancashire, BB4 4NP, or you can drop off if local.

Alternatively, when ordering your jewellery, please ask for a collection pack. This will be posted to you the same day.

All unused ashes/hair or preserved milk powder will be returned to you along with your item of jewellery via Royal Mail Signed and Tracked Service.

Will I be able to see my loved ones ashes in my jewellery?

You have the option to choose whether you want the ashes/hair visible or hidden in the jewellery. You should use the dropdown boxes on the product to select your requirements when placing your order.

You can also choose to have the addition of crushed opals in your keepsake piece to give that extra sparkle. These come at no extra cost.

How do I care for my memorial jewellery?

Caring for your jewellery is important to maintain its beauty. Avoid contact with chemicals such as household cleaners, chlorine and cosmetics. These substances can cause tarnishing and damage. When not wearing, store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, preferably in a jewellery box, this helps prevent scratches and oxidation.  Regularly clean your jewellery with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any tarnish or dirt. For a deeper clean, use a mild soap solution and warm water and dry thoroughly. Avoiding any abrasive materials that could scratch the surface. Although your jewellery is durable, avoid wearing your jewellery during activities that may cause physical damage or expose it to harsh conditions, such as swimming, gardening, or heavy lifting.

How do I send a photograph for my locket?

Once you have placed your order, please email us the photograph to sales@keepsakememorialjewellery.co.uk, stating your name and order number and we will do the rest. We will fit the photo for you and return any unused images to you.

How would I purchase a piece of Jewellery as a gift?

A piece of bespoke memorial jewellery can be a very personal choice therefore we recommend purchasing one of our E Vouchers, so that the recipient can make their own choices.

When you purchase an E Voucher, a unique code will be emailed to you or the recipient immediately so they can use their gift straight away.

How long will delivery take?

All orders will be processed within 7 - 10 days from receipt of the inclusions, with the exception of made to order items. If you need your order faster, please get in touch before placing your order.

Can you combine more than one person or pet’s ashes?

Yes. We can either blend ashes or hair together, or place them in separate sections of a design if the piece allows. Just let us know your preference when ordering.

Can I order without ashes or hair?

Absolutely. Many families choose to include petals, sand, fabric, or no inclusions at all — simply selecting the colour or style that represents their loved one.

How is my jewellery packaged?

Your jewellery will arrive beautifully presented in a Jewellery gift box, with a care guide, silver cleaning cloth, certificate of authenticity and any unused inclusions safely returned.

What materials do you use?

We use high-quality 925 sterling silver and 9ct gold, along with professional-grade resin for inclusions. Some items are made with stainless steel, clearly stated. Every piece is made with care and finished by hand in our UK studio.

  • "I saw keepsake on a local fb page to me, messaged and organised to have a ring and cufflinks made. I dropped my ashes off before my holiday and came home to them ready. She went above and beyond my expectations. And I’m absolutely blown away by my jewellery. I had a double circle ring with my grandmas ashes in purple and my mums ashes and my horses hair in green in the other circle. I also had made cufflinks for my brother in baby blue with my mums ashes. I got my jewellery back in a beautiful bag with the added extra of her putting my ashes in a little black pouch. I sat outside her house and cried my eyes out they were that beautiful I can’t thank her enough."
