Method 1: The String or Paper Method
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string approximately 10cm long
- Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on
- Mark where the paper or string overlaps
- Measure the length in millimetres — this is your finger circumference
- Use the chart below to find your ring size
Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring
If you already have a ring that fits well:
- Place it flat on a ruler
- Measure the internal diameter in millimetres

Getting your size right first time matters — here's how to avoid common mistakes:
- Visit a professional jeweller — the most reliable way to find your ring size is to have your finger measured in person by a jeweller. Many offer this as a free service, and it takes just a few minutes. We strongly recommend this for bespoke, made-to-order pieces where getting the size right first time really matters.
- Measure mid-afternoon — fingers are at their slimmest first thing in the morning and at their largest in the evening. Mid-afternoon gives you the most accurate everyday size to order from.
- Avoid measuring in the cold — fingers shrink in cold temperatures and expand in warmth; measure at room temperature for the most accurate result
- Measure the correct finger — ring sizes can vary between fingers and even between your left and right hand
- Measure 2–3 times — take multiple measurements and use the average
- Consider knuckle size — if your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, size up slightly so the ring can pass over comfortably
